Yuri German
Yuri German is a creative pseudonym of two artists – Sergey Gerasimov and Yuri Bakhrushev, whose artworks occupy a special place in the panorama of contemporary art. It is a view of a modern person, still capable of admiring the world around and deriving inspiration both from reality and from the works of classics of world painting. Sergey Gerasimov is the painter-restorer. The 80s – the painting restorer at Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts. The 90s – the current restorer, copyist, art-advisor and compiler of private antiques collections in Europe. Realization of projects in Italy and Germany. The 2000s – the creation of the art-project under the alias YURI GERMAN with the colleague the painter Yuri Bakruchev.
Participation in art fairs and exhibitions around the world (Russia, France, Germany, Singapore). Give VIP lessons of drawing and painting for businessmen in Russia and Italy. The founder and art director of the International Art Gallery VS unio. 2018 – the participant and the curator of exhibition at The National Museum of Culture of Gabon, Libreville.
